About Campaign Project
We currently lease a 3BR property in SC county which operates as a 6 bed facility with a 6-9 month stay envisioned as housing with goal setting and case management. We lease the property from month to month.The transition home came into operation given the financial, legal, cultural, and immigration barriers our clients face, such as:1. Required a much longer stay time than what a shelter allows, which is usually 3 - 6 weeks.
2. Lack the qualifying minimum income that other Transitional Houses mandate
Our need to purchase a home is driven by:
1. Rented properties do not permit structural changes for enhancing living conditions.2. Current house meetings, or counseling sessions take place within the residential living space such as the dining area or the living room, which is not healthy for recovery and healing.
3. There are no adequate facilities for children, such as a play area, or a place for them to do their homework.
4. Clients live together in cramped spaces for long periods of time, thus giving rise to increased conflict and hostility.
